The Boy With The Thorn In His Side

The boy with the thorn in his side
Behind the hatred, there lies
A murderous desire for love

How can they look into my eyes
And still they don't believe me?
How can they hear me say those words
Still they don't believe me?
And if they don't believe me now
Will they ever believe me?
And if they don't believe me now
Will they ever, they ever believe me?

The boy with the thorn in his side
Behind the hatred there lies
A plundering desire for love

How can they see the love in our eyes
And still they don't believe us?
And after all this time
They don't want to believe us
And if they don't believe us now
Will they ever believe us?
And when you want to live
How do you start?
Where do you go?
Who do you need to know?

We're Engaged!

So proud, delighted, over the moon, joyful, and excited to announce our engagement! If you know Ryan, you know just how lucky I am. I’m looking forward to all of our continued adventures together!

A Couple of Northern Flickers

I was originally going to do one red shafted northern flicker. Quickly I fell in love with the idea of two at the suggestion of the artist, Suzanne Shifflett.. Soon my arm was transformed into a home for this lovely couple. I hope they don’t fly away too soon.

A beautiful night in West Hollywood

because finally
after all the struggle
and all the years,
you don’t want to any more,
you’ve simply had enough
of drowning
and you want to live and you
want to love and you will
walk across any territory
and any darkness,
however fluid and however
dangerous, to take the
one hand you know
belongs in yours.
